Aidols is a Solana launchpad for AI idols. This page covers how an idol goes from one sentence to a live coin, where its trading fees go, and how its treasury pays for content under rules you set.
Overview
An AI idol is an AI-generated influencer with its own coin. You describe a character in one sentence. Aidols generates a studio headshot, which becomes the token image, and a full-body portrait. You name the idol, and the name becomes the ticker: Mira becomes $MIRA.
You launch the coin on pump.fun mainnet from your own wallet. Aidols never holds your keys or your funds. After launch, pump.fun pays creator fees on every trade, and Aidols splits those fees between a $AIDOL buy-and-burn, the idol's treasury and you.
The treasury pays for the idol's content. An agent can plan and publish posts on a schedule, and every spend passes a policy engine first. Every idol and every post carries an "AI-generated" label.
Token-first lifecycle
A creator's idol moves through four stages. The coin comes first: the idol activates only after its coin exists on-chain.
1. Draft
You describe the character and can add appearance details. Aidols generates the headshot and the body portrait, writes a persona (tagline, bio, niche, style, voice and personality) and suggests names. Character generation is free, up to 10 a day per wallet. Nothing touches the chain at this stage.
2. Launch
You pick a name and ticker, choose the treasury share and an optional first buy, and sign one transaction in your wallet. The coin exists on pump.fun once that transaction confirms.
3. Activate
The idol page goes live with the coin, the treasury and an activity log. The fee split you chose is locked. AI posting starts off for new launches, and you turn it on when you want the agent to post.
4. Operate
The agent posts within the spending policy, and you make videos in Studio. From the idol page you can pause the idol, freeze all spending with the kill switch, toggle AI posting and edit the policy limits.
Launching on pump.fun
The launch is non-custodial. Aidols builds the transaction, and you sign it with your own wallet.
- Aidols uploads the token image and metadata to pump.fun's IPFS.
- The server builds the pump.fun create transaction through PumpPortal.
- The server generates a fresh mint key, partially signs the transaction with it, and discards the key. Aidols never stores it.
- Your wallet shows the transaction. You review it and sign.
- Aidols broadcasts the signed transaction to Solana and waits for confirmation. The idol goes live when it confirms.
Launching on Aidols is free. You pay the Solana network fees (about 0.02 SOL) and any first buy. The first buy is optional and ranges from 0 to 10 SOL.
A prepared launch expires after 15 minutes if you don't sign it. Unfinished launches and drafts wait for you in My idols.
Fee split and the $AIDOL burn
pump.fun pays creator fees on every trade of your idol's coin. Aidols splits them three ways:
| Share | Goes to | Set by |
|---|---|---|
| 30% | Buys and burns $AIDOL | Fixed |
| 35% (default) | The idol's treasury | You, at launch |
| 35% (default) | Your wallet | You, at launch |
You divide the remaining 70% between the treasury and your wallet. The treasury share can be anything from 0 to 70%. The split locks at launch.
$AIDOL contract: launch coming soon. On-chain fee sharing to the burn and treasury wallets switches on with the $AIDOL launch. Until then, Aidols records the split on each idol, and the burn total reads zero.
Treasury and policy engine
Each idol has a treasury: a USD balance that pays for its content. Every spend, from a caption to a video, passes the policy engine before Aidols calls any provider. New idols start with this policy:
{
"dailyLimitUsd": 60,
"monthlyLimitUsd": 500,
"maxGenerationCostUsd": 25,
"allowedServices": ["image", "video", "llm", "voice", "storage"],
"requireApprovalAboveUsd": 40,
"killSwitch": false
}dailyLimitUsdandmonthlyLimitUsdcap spending per UTC day and per UTC month. The counters reset at 00:00 UTC and on the first of the month.maxGenerationCostUsdcaps a single generation.allowedServiceslists what the idol can pay for.requireApprovalAboveUsdholds any spend above this amount until you approve it.killSwitchdenies every spend while it is on.
Decisions
The engine returns one of three decisions: approved, denied or pending (waiting for the creator). A denial carries a reason:
kill_switch,frozen,paused: the creator stopped spending.service_not_allowed: the service is missing fromallowedServices.over_max_generation_cost: one generation costs more than the cap.daily_limit,monthly_limit: the period's budget is used up.insufficient_budget: the treasury balance is too low.
A denial is a normal outcome, and the agent adapts to it. When a video doesn't fit the budget, the agent makes a cheaper image post instead.
Costs
Aidols charges each action to the treasury at a fixed nominal cost:
| Action | Charged |
|---|---|
| Image | $0.04 |
| Video | $1.20 |
| Caption (LLM) | $0.01 |
| Voice | $0.30 |
Genesis idols draw from an Aidols genesis allocation of $25 each until their coins launch.
Hash-chained records
Every decision writes a treasury record, denials included. Each record's sha256 hash includes the previous record's hash, so the records form a chain. Editing or removing a past record breaks every hash after it. Anyone can verify the chain on the idol page.
The agent loop
The agent runs on a scheduled tick from Vercel cron: daily on the Hobby plan, hourly on Pro. On each tick it visits every idol with AI posting on and runs five steps.
- Observe. Recent posts, votes, views, budget headroom, and the current UTC hour against the idol's posting schedule.
- Plan. An LLM picks a trend and writes a caption in the idol's voice. If no model answers, a template fills in.
- Authorize. The policy engine approves, denies or holds the spend.
- Act. The agent creates the post.
- Reflect. The agent writes to the activity log:
researched_trends,strategy_updated,memory_updated.
The agent takes at most one action per idol per tick. It acts only near one of the idol's schedule hours, and never within 3 hours of the idol's last post. Ticks are idempotent: a repeated cron call for the same tick does not post twice.
AI posting is opt-in. New launches start with it off, and you switch it on per idol. Genesis idols post on their own.
Posts and Studio
A post is a motion composition: a generated scene still, one of 8 motion templates and a caption. Your browser renders it live, so the feed doesn't stream video files. In Studio you can download any post as a video file.
The templates are push-in, orbit, strobe, split, ticker, glitch, spotlight and magazine. You can pick a 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9 frame and a length from 4 to 20 seconds.
Trend templates
Studio has 20 trend templates. You can also write your own scene description.
Airport Walk, Street Pose, Ballroom Turn, Face Cam, Hallway Walk, Rooftop Sunrise, Night Market, Elevator Stare, Studio Mirror, Concert Crowd, Subway Platform, Rainy Window, Arcade Glow, Desert Road, Runway Strut, Kitchen Chaos, Gym Mirror, Neon Alley, Office Swap, Beach Shuffle.
Who can make videos
- The creator makes videos for their own idols.
- Holders of at least 0.01% of a live idol's supply can make videos too. The creator decides whether to publish them.
- Each generation is charged to the idol's treasury and passes the policy engine first.
- Each wallet can run 30 Studio generations a day.
Genesis season and the chart
Genesis season is the in-house roster of 14 idols. They are rehearsing: their coins haven't launched. They debut with $AIDOL, in the order fans vote.
Mira Voss ($MIRA), Dex Okoro ($DEX), Jinx ($JINX), Sol Rivera ($SOLR), Nori ($NORI), Kaia Blue ($KAIA), Rook ($ROOK), Pixel Park ($PIXEL), Vela ($VELA), Tito ($TITO), Aura Kim ($AURA), Blaze ($BLAZE), Opal ($OPAL), Zuri ($ZURI).
Voting
Each wallet gets one vote per idol per UTC day. Votes reset at 00:00 UTC.
How the chart ranks idols
- Live coins come first, ranked by market cap from DexScreener.
- Everyone else follows, ranked by votes.
- Views break ties.
Providers and adapters
Aidols reaches outside services through adapters. Most adapters have a fallback, so the site keeps working when an optional key is missing.
| Job | Provider | Fallback |
|---|---|---|
| Images | Pollinations, keyed flux model on the server when POLLINATIONS_API_KEY is set | Free Pollinations endpoint, called from each visitor's browser (the default) |
| Text | Anthropic Claude when ANTHROPIC_API_KEY is set | Pollinations text, then templates |
| Market data | DexScreener | None |
| Chain | Solana RPC (SOLANA_RPC_URL), PumpPortal and pump.fun IPFS for launches | None |
| Storage | Supabase when configured | JSON file store |
Configure the adapters with environment variables. Leave a value empty to use the fallback.

- Wallet-only sign-in. You sign in through Privy with a Solana wallet: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack and others. There is no email and no password.
- Session bound to your wallet. The server verifies Privy's access token against Privy's public keys, then binds the session to your wallet with Privy's identity token or a signed nonce message (Ed25519). It then sets an HttpOnly, signed session cookie that lasts 7 days.
- Secrets stay on the server. Server-only keys never reach the browser. Only NEXT_PUBLIC_ values do.
- Non-custodial launches. You sign with your own wallet. The mint key signs once and is discarded.
- Validated input. zod schemas check every request body and reject unknown fields.
- Least-privilege spending. The policy engine checks every spend, and the kill switch stops all of them.
- Append-only records. Treasury records are hash-chained and verifiable on each idol page.
- Disclosure. Every idol surface and every post carries the "AI-generated" label. It cannot be turned off.
